Jewelry designer Foree Hunsicker of Dallas, Texas started her company in 1987 called "Medalias" by Foree Hunsicker. "Medalias" specialized in reproducing antique 19th century repousse` luggage tags in sterling silver and fashioning them into earrings, necklaces, bracelets and other fashion accessories. In 1995, Foree was honored with the Dallas Fashion Award for her artistry and influence in the fashion world.
